This picture shows some of the things that are commonly connected to today's home networks: Computers and Printers, of course, but also Cell Phones, Home Theaters running on a PC, Televisions, BluRay Players, Game Systems, and Digital Video Recorders. There are many other devices not pictured that also need network access to function as designed.
The network in the picture provides both wired and wireless connections for devices, and this is typical of the kinds of networks we design, build, and maintain.
